Christy and Jake

Christy and Jake tied the knot on June 30th in Hickory and Aaron and I were honored to be part of their wedding weekend. Their wedding was absolutely stunning with every detail beautifully planned. Christy and Jake are so stylish and their wedding day represented this perfectly. They were married in the church in which her dad pastors and the reception was held at her parent's home. Christy's parents were the perfect host of the 500 guests.

I started the weekend on Friday at the Rock Barn Spa which is the most relaxing, therapeutic place to spend the day. I hung out with all the girls at the spa and then we headed to the bridal luncheon. The rehearsal dinner was filled with emotion and tears, and the pink & green parasols were so fun. From Christy's custom made cocktail dress she wore at the rehearsal dinner (made from her mom's wedding gown) to the monogrammed lighting on the dance floor of the reception, the details were amazing throughout the entire weekend. Christy and Jake's wedding day was filled with so many personal touches, including Christy's dad marrying them. Christy wore her grandmothers pin in her wedding gown, she made each of her bridesmaids monogrammed bracelets, and her mother's veil adorned the cake table. The day was full of pink, peonies, tears, a Hummer, candy, fondue, sushi, a Super bowl ring, The Entertainers, dancing, & sparklers. Did I mention that Christy and Jake are quite the dancers and their guests also joined right in dancing for hours.

Christy, Jake, and families: Thank you for including us as part of the family, it was a pleasure to capture the emotion of such a beautiful weekend. We can't wait to see pictures from Maui! We know it was fabulous!
